By joining us onto one of our programmes, you have signed up to make meaningful change

At ushacfitness, you are our ONLY focus and as we specialise in Health & Fitness; our programs are designed to help you reach your goals, whether it's to loose weight, improve your strength and conditioning and your metabolic health or to reduce your risk of long term health. The various packages we offer cater for your personalised needs from your initial consultation, to developing a structured personalised program with the level of support you need. OR if you are looking for something less structured, one of our tailor made programs focusing on your end goal, will take you through the steps to help you reach that goal. These can be done at your pace.

We also offer additional screening (at extra cost) to your initial assessments, including scans and blood tests. These can be done at various stages through your training to help us monitor your progress from inside out. These help us track your progress, your muscle mass, bone density and your current level of fitness along with your metabolic health, to help us optimise your fitness, recovery and performance and helps reduce reaching a plateau. These optional screening tools have been selectively chosen to provide precise data to help with weight management and optimising your current and long term health, improving not just your lifespan but your health span.

From structured programs to personalised programmes, we want to help improve your health and wellbeing.

What happens next

Prior to starting your programs 

ushacfitness is your Specialist Personal Trainer with a medical background. She is a registered/practising GP and Level 4 accredited Personal Trainer. 

​

For Personal Training Programs: These are bespoke programs and so we ask you to initially take part in an initial Health & Fitness Screening Assessment                                    where we conduct a comprehensive review of your Health and Lifestyle (questionnaire emailed to you prior to your appointment), conduct a strength and movement assessment and perform a 3D body scan. You also have the option to add-on additional screening tests ( DEXA composition and Bone scan, blood test etc) to help us obtain a precise assessment of your current fitness and metabolic health.

For set programs: we ask you to complete an initial online questionnaire to check that it's safe for you to exercise independently on our programs. Your safety is paramount to us.

These steps allow us to safely support your journey based on your current health, fitness level/conditioning and your lifestyle.

Developing Personalised Plans/Set programmes

Following your initial assessment you will be provided with a comprehensive report outlining your results with bespoke health and lifestyle recommendations to help you improve your health, fitness and improve your metabolic health.

With your bespoke recommendations, we hope that you will continue to work with us in one of our bespoke programs were we will continue to proved 1:1 support to help you reach your goal. 

​

As we only have limited availability for our 1:1 programs, we also offer a number of set programs for you to work through at your own pace with evidence based guidance and regular additional supportive material during your program. 

 

All the programs are filled with tips and easy to follow steps and our personalised App is available for you, making it easy to log your progress.

​

Along your journey, you have the options to add-on additional screening (scans/bloods), to help support/track your progress, making it easier to stay on track and achieve your goal.

Enhanced screening facilities offered through body composition, bone density, fitness assessments and blood tests, allows us to adapt our training packages as you progress along your journey, ensuring that your health improves and not deteriorates.

About us

Hi I’m Usha, and I’ve been working in the NHS for over 20 years with most of it as a GP.  I'm passionate about health and fitness and strongly feel that prevention is far better than treatment and the best way to achieve this is through increasing awareness and equipping patients/clients with the right tools and support to form life long habits.  In addition to my extensive medical experience, I am also a Level 4 Trainer and specialise in Lifestyle Coaching/Medicine. 

 

My personal journey with my health, has radically made me review my own lifestyle, health and fitness. This along with my experience as both a doctor and trainer, has made me passionate about helping people to improve their health and fitness. Our lives are so busy and putting ourselves first can often be challenging, yet how can we take care of others, if we do NOT prioritise our own health and fitness first!

​

Reduced levels of activity, long drives to work, hours sitting at a desk, poor health or injury can all eventually over time result in weight gain, poor metabolic health, increased cardiovascular risk (heart disease risk) and struggles with daily activities of life (going up and down stairs, carrying shopping, lifting children etc). Unfortunately, this is not just specific to any age group and is becoming more common even in individuals in their 30s and 40s. The cycle of joint pain/chronic pain, immobility and lack of exercise often leading to increase stress, poor dietary choices and weight gain, which then perpetuates the cycle process. It can then be difficult to break this cycle and periods of support by medical professions can often be short lived, resulting in the return to learned habits and the cycle repeating itself. With the right support, this cycle does not have to keep repeating. Let's put a stop now!

As women get older into mid-life, the hormonal changes along with the ageing process has a significant impact on their health and fitness. 

Understanding the process, the impact on metabolic, bone and cardiovascular health, allows us to train smarter, not harder, preventing injury. 

​

Having seen the consequences of poor quality information on social media on health and fitness, we wanted to help support the community to understand their health and the impact of lifestyle choices and practise on it. We are here to provide various levels of support from one: one to working at your own pace on set programs, to providing evidence based information to help you improve your health (physical/mental), your confidence and to live the next decades of life independently.

We are unique, providing a holistic, highly specialised service at ushacfitness. 

 

We provide comprehensive assessments through detailed consultations and assessment, use state of the art screening tools and ONLY relevant bloods to help provide a truly precise picture of your health and fitness from the start, through your journey with us.

 

 There are no limits to what you can achieve, however, the way we approach it and how we get there, will change as we get older and understanding this will support you to get to where you want to be, injury free.
